Semi-polished Botswana agate is an exclusive variety of chalcedony that is highly prized both among mineral collectors and for geological displays. Its semi-polished finish is ideal, as it preserves the rough texture of the natural raw stone on the outside, whilst its polished faces reveal, with a vitreous lustre, its spectacular concentric bands of cryptocrystalline quartz.
