Specimens of Okenite.
Okenite is a hydrated calcium silicate belonging to the zeolite group. This specimen stands out for forming spherical aggregates of very fine acicular crystals, similar to small white ‘cotton balls’. It commonly appears inside basalt geodes. It is an extremely delicate and fragile mineral that should not be touched directly, as the fibres break or clump together easily.
Size of pieces: approx. 7-9 cm.
