Rock crystal druses are a spectacular formation of hyaline quartz that is highly prized by mineral collectors and in geological displays. Their natural structure is fascinating, as they retain the matrix of the raw natural stone at their base, whilst their surface displays a dense cluster of hexagonal prismatic crystals. These collector’s items stand out for their high transparency and the intense vitreous lustre characteristic of this pure variety of silicon dioxide.
