Specimens of Cinnabar-Smithsonite.
Cinnabar-Smithsonite is a combination of mercury sulphide and zinc carbonate. This specimen stands out for its cinnabar inclusions, which give the smithsonite an intense red or pink colour. It occurs in the oxidation zones of zinc deposits associated with hydrothermal activity. It is highly prized by collectors for its colour contrast and vitreous lustre.
