This tektite was generated by the impact of a meteorite in the current area of Western Egypt, near the border with Libya.
The more rounded shape (weathered) is a product of the desert area where they are found and its alteration by the desert sand.
These tektites were found in the Egyptian chamber of Tutankhamun, considered as jewels.
The approximate age is calculated to be 29 million years and its composition is pure siliceous, formed at about 1600 ºC.
