Pachycephalosaurus is one of the most iconic dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous, famous for its extremely thick, dome-shaped skull and bony protrusions. This bipedal herbivore is a centrepiece of palaeontological collecting and the study of ornithischian evolution due to its unique morphology. Its fossils, found mainly in North America, are fundamental to understanding social behaviours and defence structures in dinosaur palaeontology.
